Meet the team
Chris Harris
Managing Director
Started way back in May 1989 and cut his teeth on direct injection systems (now regarded as vintage) before moving onto common rail when that became popular in the early 2000’s. Chris is now the Managing Director of both Welham Diesel and Welham Motor Co, his interests outside of work include supporting Leicester City Football Club and watching F1 and BTCC on TV.
David Cram
Finance Director
Joined Welhams in August 2008 as the accountant/office manager, having worked in a variety of industrial sectors and became Finance Director in April 2015. Now handles all the accounting, admin and marketing for both companies. Follows most forms of motorsport, particularly rallying as he competed for several years back in his youth and also used to shoot a longbow. He has also been an amateur photographer for 50 odd years.
Caleb Davis
Engine Shop Supervisor
Caleb is our engine shop supervisor and has worked for us since December 2016 although he had previously worked in the diesel shop a few years back. Caleb is a family man with three young children but likes to watch Leicester Tigers whenever he can get away!
Lee Lefevre
Senior Engineer
Lee joined us in August 2008 when A B Butts closed down. He is Chris’s right hand man in the Diesel department and is also in charge of the garage. Lee has three sons, so is kept pretty busy at the weekends.
