Chris Harris started working for Welham Diesel in May 1989 as a trainee fuel engineer and has worked his way up, becoming Managing Director in April 2014. His knowledge of vintage pumps and injectors is second to none, and he can still be found in the workshop every day rebuilding pumps and passing on his skills to our engineers. Chris is the driving force behind the business and was instrumental in the takeover of Brant Diesel in 2017 which proved to be a very shrewd and profitable move for the company.

Motor Co Machine Shop Services
Good old fashioned engineering since 1947 – neatly sums up the attributes of the Motor Company.
Right from the start we have offered crankshaft regrinding, cylinder head reconditioning, block reboring and engine rebuilding services. Caleb Davis is the workshop supervisor and is on his second stint with us having previously worked for Welham Diesel in the fuel shop. Chris took over as Managing Director in September 2017 and Caleb reports directly to him. A couple of our shopfloor technicians have also returned to us after working elsewhere and we now have a settled and loyal workforce.
